Author George R.R. Martin has proven that he has the writing chops and stories that make for good television with HBO’s Game of Thrones, so it is easy to see why producers and networks are hoping to hoping to use more of his materials to create more shows. In fact a report from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that we could be getting a sci-fi series from Martin on Hulu.

The report claims that Hulu is looking to develop a sci-fi series based around the Wild Cards book, which for those unfamiliar is basically a collection of sci-fi stories written by various authors and edited by Martin and Melinda M. Snodgrass. There is no word on when the series is expected to launch, but it defintely sounds quite interesting.

This also wouldn’t be the only material by Martin that is in development. Last we heard, HBO was also looking to develop a Game of Thrones prequel series, where Martin had in the past stated that he believes he has enough content to create a prequel. This move by Hulu could also be good news for those living outside of the US.

Disney had previously stated that they would be bringing Hulu to international markets once their acquisition of Fox is complete, so having more shows on its platform should help make it more appealing to customers. In the meantime the final season of Game of Thrones has been confirmed for April 2019.
