Last month Microsoft announced that they will be launching their own pair of noise-cancelling headphones under the Surface brand simply called the Surface Headphones. The company had also confirmed that pre-orders would be going live on the 15th of November and if these are a pair of headphones you are interested in, pre-orders are now live on Microsoft’s website.

The headphones are priced at $350 and are expected to begin shipping out to customers on the 19th of November as previously promised. Unlike other Microsoft Surface devices, the headphones are only offered in one color, a gray finish, which we suppose keeps the overall tone rather neutral but if you wanted something more flashy or fancy then these probably aren’t the pair of headphones for you.

As expected given that these are a Microsoft product, there will be Cortana baked into the headphones, kind of like what Google has done with Bose QC35 II that came with Google Assistant. The headphones offer noise cancellation and are also wireless and according to Microsoft, you should be able to squeeze about 15 hours out of them, and can fully recharge them after 2 hours.

We can’t speak to the audio quality and overall comfort of these headphones, so maybe it might be a good idea to try it out before buying them, unless you don’t mind taking a leap of faith.
