While the rumors about the new iPhones were pretty much spot on, when it comes to the accessories, those have been kind of all over the place. It was rumored that Apple could unveil a new pair of headphones at the iPhone event, but that did not come to pass. It was later rumored that the AirPods Studio has since been delayed to 2021.

Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but in the meantime, a recent leak might at the very confirm the fact that the headphones do exist. This is thanks to 9to5Mac who discovered within the iOS 14.3 beta a brand new icon that depicts a set of headphones. While we’ve seen headphones icons in iOS before, this seems to be designed differently.

The icon features an almost square-ish type of headband along with what looks like swiveling arms for the headphone’s earcups to be folded inwards. This seems to be in line with an earlier Bloomberg report where they claim that the AirPods Studio would feature “a retro look with oval-shaped ear cups that swivel and a headband connected by thin, metal arms.”

The AirPods Studio would also be the first pair of Apple-branded headphones to be launched by the company. While Apple does own Beats and has put out various Beats headphones and earphones in the past, the AirPods Studio would be a first for the company as far as Apple-branded audio products are concerned.
