If Apple’s AirPower is something that you’ve been looking forward to, you might be interested to learn that Apple has not given up on the product yet. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he claims that Apple has not given up on the AirPower and that the company is still hoping that they’ll be able to launch it by the end of the year.

However he also notes that if Apple misses the 2018 deadline, then they might be launching it in the first three months of 2019 (potentially launched alongside the new iPad mini). Given that Kuo has proven time and time again how accurate his predictions and sources are, there is good reason to believe him, although to err on the safe side you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up just yet.

The AirPower was announced in 2017 alongside the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and the X. However the device’s launch was delayed to 2018 but that clearly has yet to happen. In fact many seemed to believe that the device might be dead in the water as Apple removed references to it on its website and there were reports claiming that it was “doomed to failure” due to the various technical issues plaguing it.

However there have since been references to AirPower found in software and product packaging, suggesting that the device was still alive and well. In any case only time will tell if Apple will eventually launch the AirPower, so check back with us at a later date for more updates.
