Want to listen to music and use your navigation app at the same time? It’s entirely possible to do so, but if you’d rather not have to switch between apps, which can be dangerous while driving, then the latest update to Waze might be of interest to you where the update has introduced a new Audio Player feature.

According to Waze, “Built to make sure every Wazer can have the best time possible on the road, the Waze Audio Player seamlessly streams your favorite audio app with your Waze directions and alerts.” However it should be noted that the player will be launched as a beta, meaning that users might come across the occasional bug, but it should still be good enough to be used if you’re interested in checking it out.

Waze also announced that they will be supporting eight audio streaming services. “Along with announcing the Waze Audio Player, we are welcoming 7 new audio partners to the Waze family: Pandora, Deezer, iHeartRadio, NPR One, Scribd, Stitcher, and TuneIn. Soon, all Wazers will be able to choose from podcasts, audiobooks, radio, and news thanks to our grand total of 8 audio partners — including our inaugural partner, Spotify.”

For those who’d rather not use the beta and prefer using the public release, not to worry as Waze states that the update should be rolling out to all Waze users in the coming weeks.
